Ingredients (serves 2β3):
- 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
- Β½ tsp cinnamon
- Β½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp butter (for the dish)
- Optional: handful of chopped nuts or raisins
Instructions:
1οΈβ£ Preheat oven to 180 Β°C (355 Β°F). Butter a small ovenproof dish.
2οΈβ£ Lay the apple slices evenly in the dish.
3οΈβ£ In a bowl, whisk together eggs, yogurt, honey, cinnamon, vanilla and salt until smooth.
4οΈβ£ Pour the mixture over the apples; tap the dish gently so it settles.
5οΈβ£ Bake 25β30 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the custard is set in the middle.
6οΈβ£ Serve warm with a spoon of extra yogurt or drizzle of honey on top.
Serve with: Hot tea or a small slice of brioche for breakfast or dessert.
