🍜 Indonesian-Style Stir Fry (15 minutes)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice or noodles
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, sliced thin
  • Β½ red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tbsp oil (sesame or sunflower)
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion, stir for 1 minute.
  3. Add carrot and pepper, cook 3–4 minutes.
  4. Push veggies aside; crack egg in the middle and scramble lightly (optional).
  5. Add rice or noodles, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
  6. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until everything is glossy and hot.
  7. Sprinkle chili flakes if you like it spicy.

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Cleanup: one pan or wok.
